Genetic Makeup

  1. Some people are born with lower energy due to their family makeup (genetic).
  2. Another reason is, when they were conceived, their parents' bodies were run down due to over-working or often sleeping late.

Poor Quality Sleep

There are 3 types of sleep problems:

  1. Difficulties getting to sleep
  2. Broken sleep
  3. Dreaming or light sleep.

It is very important to get good quality sleep, because when you sleep the blood goes back into the liver where it is cleaned and readjusted. Then, when you get up, the blood is transferred around the body. If you don't get any sleep or poor quality sleep between 11pm and 3am, then your liver and gallbladder will not function properly and your internal organs will start to deteriorate, leading you to get tired often.

Not Eating Properly

People need 3 food groups:

  • Yang foods (meats, nuts, eggs, beans) - hot, to warm your body (calcium, protein)
  • Neutral food groups (bread, rice, noodles, potatoes)
  • Yin foods (vegetables, fruits, liquids) - cold, to cool your body.

It is important to get a daily balance of all three food groups. Your body is like a machine. Yang food and neutral food (body essence) are like electricity and yin food (liquid) is like oil, which are all needed to make the body machine keep going.

We find a lot of people lack nutrition through poor diet and weak bodies that are poor at absorbing nutrition. One such group is the people who are "hot inside" or "Yin Deficiency" people. They will feel hot and will want to eat yin foods to balance themselves, especially young people. Quite often, they desire only salad, fruit, cold drinks, and ice cream. If they continue this diet for a long time, they will lack body essence and feel tired.

According to ACM, cold, raw, and damp foods hurt the spleen. The spleen produces the "Rising up Qi" in your body. But too much cold food after time will weaken the rising Qi, and your body will get tired and feel low. The sweet taste tonics the spleen, and when your body is low it will crave sweets things to support your body and brain.

Over-consuming Your Body

Over-working
Usual physical and mental activity will consume the Qi from inside your body, but if you over-work then you will consume more Qi than your body produces.

Over-exercising
For the same reasons as above. Different people require different amounts of exercise. Some need only 10 minutes, while others need half an hour. The general measure for people is whether it's the right type of exercise, and the right time for doing the exercise. After they have completed exercising, they should not feel too tired.

Some illness has been found, but some has not yet been discovered.

e.g. the wrong position at work etc., which will require a lot of understanding in your life.

How can I manage Lack of Energy?

Find the right healer for yourself
ACM believes healing is a two-party participation (Yin and Yang). The good healer needs a wide range of knowledge, and needs to learn what the cause of the illness is.

Communication is very important, because, if the healer cannot learn the actual cause of the tiredness, then it is difficult to help. If the two parties communicate well with each other, then it will reduce the chance of mistreatment and quicken the recovery.

Find the right method for yourself
We believe in using natural methods of healing, as ACM believes the human body is part of nature.

  1. As above, if you don't over-do things (mentally and physically), and you eat and sleep appropriately.
  2. Use the food and herbs to regulate and strengthen your body (see food-herb formulas).
  3. Qigong exercises (to fill up and regulate the Qi in your body) and meditation (to cultivate the energy inside).
  4. Acupressure to clear your energy channels and undo the blockages inside.
  5. Understand yourself, and find the right position for you in life.
